Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson to Break Up
The Duet Album, Break Up, to be Released on September 8
May 26, 2009 Scarlett Johansson
Three years past its completion, Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson are gearing up to release the album Break Up on September 8th via Atco Records.
Yorn conceptualized the album in 2006 and tapped Johansson to help him record. Essentially chronicling a turbulent relationship, Yorn and Johansson voiced the duet a la Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot in the 1960s.
Produced by Sunny Levine and executive produced by Yorn and Max Goldblatt, the album was initially a closely guarded project for Yorn, who is sharing it now after overwhelming positive responses from those close to him.
You can stream and download the opening track, “Relator,” now on the album site or purchase it through any digital service provider.
The tracklist is as follows:
1. Relator
2. Wear And Tear
3. I Don’t Know What To Do
4. Search Your Heart
5. Blackie’s Dead
6. I Am The Cosmos
7. Shampoo
8. Clean
9. Someday
