Earlier this week, 33 Chilean miners were rescued after being trapped underground for two months. Hands down the coolest news story in recent months, the news of their safe recovery hit the Pixes minutes before the band took the stage for their first-ever headline show in Chile at the Teatro La Cupula in Santiago.

In celebration, the Pixies played their longest set ever—33 songs in honor of the 33 miners. “We were so moved by this story,” said Pixies’ Black Francis via press release, “by how many lives had been affected by this, and how the Chilean people banded together to support what can only be described as a miracle.
