Los Angeles’s maven of punk mutation, Kate Clover has announced her debut EP Channel Zero, due out early 2021 featuring co-writing and production from Brandon Welchez of Crocodiles, and shared a video of the eponymously titled track. Mining the paranoiac ephemera of 1960s PSAs and MK Ultra, the video dilates the xerox copy underside of blotter paper for a whimsical tale of psychic control. Check out the video below. On the making of the video, direcetor Ryan Rosewall (eerily similar to Roswell) had this to say: “The imagery and sound of the track quite simply transport you back in time, so Kate and I discussed wanting to stay true to a hyper-minimalistic approach that felt like stills of a French New Wave film. In the end, we were just really curious what an episode of the Twilight Zone would look like if the television could seep into a drug-induced technicolor world.”
