Premiere: Lost Horizons’ Iceland Airwaves Mixtape
Airwaves Goes Down Nov 1-5 in Iceland…Obviously

Iceland Airwaves 2017
We’re slowly creeping up on Iceland Airwaves—aka the most wonderful time of year. (Yeah—Christmas is good too, we guess.) To help get us in the spirit and/or make the wait a bit shorter, we’ve been asking some of our favorite artists playing the fest to make us mixtapes. Next up in the series is Lost Horizons, helmed by Simon Raymonde (he of Cocteau Twins and Bella Union record label fame) and drummer Richie Thomas (who has played with The Jesus and Mary Chain, Felt, and Cocteau Twins). For their mix, Raymonde has given as a genre-gobbling blend of sounds and textures from across the world (what up, BROEN?)—and even did us the honor of a speaking a few words here in there, so we’re going to forgo the usual tracklist at the end. Lean into the music discovery.
Listen below. Then revisit the previous tapes in our series from EinarIndra and Una Stef. If you’re joining us in Iceland for the adventure, all the festival info you can eat can be found http://icelandairwaves.is/#mce_temp_url#. Lost Horizon’s debut album Ojalá is out November 3 on Bella Union.
