What inspires Nervous Nellie’s blend of jittery electro hooks and pure pop? Cat Power, Björk, Daniel Johnston, Beach House, for starters. In honor of the Swedish band’s first U.S. tour (head to the bottom of the page for dates), we asked them to contribute to our ongoing mixtape project.

“First we thought of straight up taking an old mixtape from our high school years but that felt a bit lazy,” says the band of their picks. “Instead we decided to throw in a hand full of tunes we’ve been inspired by when writing Gloves EP and our new, yet to be named album. Don’t know if it’s at all reminiscent of the tracks here but these tunes got & get us excited. Crank it!”

Take a listen below. You can also revisit our previous Nervous Nellie premiere, a remix of addictive single “Gloves” here.
