Premiere: Orchin - “Anew”
Glistening Synth-Pop Futurism
Dec 02, 2015 Orchin
Today, we’re premiering “Anew,” the latest futuristic pop exploration from Jeremy McLennan’s Orchin project. After opening at a lurching, moody crawl, the track develops into an immersive synthscape dripping with glossy textural details. When McLennan croons “I will always be anew,” he’s probably making a promise to a lover; however, you also get the sense that the line doubles as a mantra for a song that seems to evolve by the second. Listen below, and check out preceding single “When No One’s Around” here.
