Next week, Under the Radar is headed to Oslo for by:Larm. In honor of the festival, we asked a few of the musicians performing to compile a mixtape. This entry, called “Dudettes with Guitars” is from Swedish punk quartet Tiger Bell, who aimed to introduce some grit into our ongoing series.

“As a band we often hear that it’s ‘so great’ that we’re a rock band with only girls,” Tiger Bell tells us. “‘Yeah, and why is that?’ we ask. The answer is always that there are so few (or none). This mixtape is for all those people, those lazy journalists, promoters and fans that refuse to look harder. These twelve bands on the mixtape are bands with only girls (or most girls) that play rock, punk rock or hard rock music. They are all touring bands and have all released (or are soon going to release) albums. Most of them are Swedish and some are just other favorites. We bet you can book them any day you’d like. Just give them a call or send them an email. Like you do with all the other bands.”
