Premiere: Zombi – “Diffraction Zone” Music Video
New Record, “Shape Shift,” Out Now on Relapse
Oct 26, 2015
Zombi
Instrumental rockers Zombi—Steve Moore and A.E. Paterra—returned earlier this month with Shape Shift, their first record composed live in a studio since 2006’s Surface to Air. The band has long garnered comparisons to horror film composers such as John Carpenter and Goblin, so scary movie maven TNUC has produced a fitting music video for Shape Shift cut “Diffraction Zone” using clips from ‘80s horror aisle staples such as Ghostbusters 2, Trick or Treat, and The Stuff. (If you can identify others, let us know in the comments.)
Shape Shift is out now from Relapse. We recently chatted with the band about the new album, their return to touring, and growing up in George A. Romero country—you can read our interview here. The band will hit the road again in November for a series of dates with the like-minded synth-metal group Pinkish Black. Dates are below.
