Radiohead Share Two Claymation Teaser Videos
Is Their Ninth Album Imminent?
Over the weekend some British Radiohead fans received mysterious leaflets in the mail from the band that read, "Sing a song of sixpence that goes/Burn the Witch/We know where you live," perhaps referencing an unreleased Radiohead song entitled "Burn the Witch" that could date back as far as 2003 and has long been teased by the band. Then also over the weekend the band slowly disappeared completely from the Internet, exorcising all their tweets and Instagram and Facebook posts and turning their website into a blank space. But now the band has returned, posting two claymation teaser videos to Instagram.
The first video is simply of a bird singing, but the second one features a woman tied to a tree surrounded by circling men in masks with swords, in what seems like some sort of sacrificial ritual or a druid ceremony (or perhaps she is a witch who's about to be burned). The second video is backed by some instrumental music. Watch both below. It seems likely that either they are about to surprise drop their new album or announce a new album.
