Classic crooner Richard Hawley will set sail for upcoming EP False Lights From the Land, available digitally June 8th. Inspired by his Radio 2 documentary The Ocean, which explored the way sea travel has influenced British art, literature and music, the four-song EP will feature two Hawley originals: "Remorse Code" (from last year's Truelove's Gutter) and previously unreleased song, "The Storm."

In addition to original compositions, the EP features two covers. Hawley will offer up his take on Hughie Jones (of The Spinners) tragic tale of a ship wrecked off the coast of Liverpool in "The Ellan Vannin Tragedy." Then, he'll liven up the mood with a pump organ-heavy West Indian sea shanty "Shallow Brown."
