After touring the UK with Bat for Lashes and White Lies, School of Seven Bells will be headed to the States for a co-headlining tour with Pennsylvania’s “experimental psych-band”, Black Moth Super Rainbow.

School of Seven Bells, consisting of Secret Machines’ Benjamin Curtis and On! Air! Library!’s Deheza sisters, has been enjoying warm reception across the globe.  Their debut full-length, Alpinisms, was released at the tail end of 2008 to critical acclaim.  And recently, the band completed a lauded five-performance stint at this year’s South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas.

Black Moth Super Rainbow had the privilege of gracing SXSW back in 2007, which earned praise from The Austin Chronicle and The New York Times.  Their upcoming release, Eating Us, will be the band’s fourth album under the current moniker—the former being satanstompingcaterpillars.  Eating Us will be released May 26th, after the tour begins but with plenty of dates to spare.

Bells is also set to release a new 12” single for “My Cabal” with remixes from Jesu and Seefeel on May 19th, just before the first show in Chicago.

Though most all of the tour dates will be co-headlined engagements, School of Seven Bells will be capping the trek off with a date at the Bowery Ballroom in New York as the main act.
