Shamir released a new album, Revelations, last November via Father/Daughter Records. Now he has announced a new 7-inch, Room, and shared a video for its title track. The EP is due out March 9, also via Father/Daughter. The video, fittingly, seems to feature Shamir in his bedroom. Watch it below, followed by his upcoming tour dates.

In a press release Shamir says the song is "about feeling trapped even when there's an opening presented to you. It also extends over to those times you feel stuck and depressed to the point that making it out of bed feels like an impossible feat. 'Room' is a song for those that need that extra push to keep going and take advantage of all the open doors put in your path."

Shamir released his debut album, Rachet, in 2015 via XL. It included his breakthrough single "On the Regular." After being dropped by XL, in April 2017 the Las Vegas musician surprise-released a new album, Hope, that was recorded in one weekend. Then he signed to San Francisco indie label Father/Daughter Records and released Revelations.
