Shamir Surprise Releases New Album “Resolution” on Top of “Room” EP
Resolution and Room 7-Inch Both Out Now via Father/Daughter Records
Shamir released a new album, Revelations, last November via Father/Daughter Records. He had previously announced a new 7-inch, Room, to be released today via Father/Daughter and shared a video for its title track. And while that EP has been released as planned, he has also surprise released an entire new album to Bandcamp, Resolution. It contains eight new songs, none of which are on Room. Listen to both Room and Resolution below, followed by his upcoming tour dates.
Shamir is also releasing a joint 7-inch with Mac DeMarco on Record Store Day (April 21) where they cover Beat Happening.
Shamir released his debut album, Rachet, in 2015 via XL. It included his breakthrough single "On the Regular." After being dropped by XL, in April 2017 the Las Vegas musician surprise released a new album, Hope, that was recorded in one weekend. Then he signed to San Francisco indie label Father/Daughter Records and released Revelations.
