Lots of Sharon Van Etten news. She's shared a new remix by Hercules & Love Affair, appeared on Twin Peaks, and is on Lee Ranaldo's new album (and in his new video), which was announced today.

Van Etten has shared a remix of "Not Myself" by Hercules & Love Affair in memory of the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando a year ago and to support the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund. The original version of the song was shared last summer in honor of the Pulse Nightclub victims. The remix is available from all digital retailers, including Bandcamp (where you can donate additional money). Stream it below.

Van Etten had this to say via a press release: "During the journey of making this song and finding the best way to share it with the world, a fellow musician recommended I reach out to someone to remix the song to share with the club community. In this way, a version can exist where even more people can connect to this song in a more positive and healing light."

Van Etten also performed "Tarifa" at the end of last Sunday's episode of Twin Peaks and you can watch that performance below. Also former Sonic Youth member Lee Ranaldo has announced a new album, Electric Trim, which is due out September 15 via Mute and features Van Etten on six of the album's nine songs, including the album's first single, "Circular (Right As Rain)." Watch the video for that below, it features an appearance from Van Etten.
