
Sonic Youth Score French Film
Set to Debut at Cannes Film Festival
According to Sonic Youth's official site, the seminal noise-rockers scored the soundtrack to the French film Simon Werner a Disparu, helmed by Fabrice Gobert. The movie will debut at May's Cannes Film Festival. Also, The Playlist reports that the film's English title is Lights Out, and its story centers on the disappearance of some high school kids in 1992.
Note: In the past, Sonic Youth also contributed original music to films such as the 3D manga pornography/torture thriller Demonlover and the rock journalist drama Things Behind the Sun. (Via P4k.)
