Somewhere between frontman Britt Daniel working with two other bands, Spoon has managed to cull together enough time in the studio to work on a new album.

The new LP—the band’s first since 2010’s Transference—is expected to see release later this year. Teasing on Twitter that they are but a week away from finishing the record, the band has shared a brief snippet of an unnamed track.
