Springtime Carnivore (aka Greta Morgan) has announced a new album and shared its first single. Midnight Room is due out October 7 via Autumn Tone. Below is its first single, “Face the Moon,” followed by the album’s tracklist and cover art.

Morgan had this to say about the single in a press release: “‘Face in the Moon’ was written in a 15 minute flash after a week of lovelorn, sleepless nights watching space conspiracy documentaries and listening to Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska and R.E.M.‘s Murmur.”

Chris Coady (Beach House, Future Islands) produced Midnight Room. The album features Morgan on vocals, guitar, synthesizers, piano, and percussion as well as La Sera‘s Katy Goodman on background vocals, Alex Greenwald (Phases, Phantom Planet) on bass, and Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes) on percussion. It’s the follow-up to 2014’s self-titled debut album.

Morgan and Goodman have also teamed up for a new album of covers entitled, Take It, It’s Yours, which is due out August 26 via Polyvinyl.
