Aug 11, 2014 Bon Iver
Last week Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon and hip hop artist Astronautalis teased an upcoming collaborative album under the moniker Jason Feathers. Available digitally Aug. 19, with physical copies arriving this fall, the resulting LP De Oro has almost immediately found its way online to stream in its entirety.
Jason Feathers additionally features help from Bon Iver bandmates S. Carey and GYNGS’ Ryan Olson. Together, according to a press release, they make up four mysterious artists that include Creflo (Austronautalis), “a red-chested god-bassed Southern rapper in a fancy white suit;” Toothpick (S. Carey) “a drummer-hype-piano-man all in one;” Ephasis (Vernon), “a heavily-seasoned guitar-crooning lost-cowboy.” De Oro is currently stream over at Pitchfork Advance.
In addition to Jason Feathers, brand new albums by Cymbals Eat Guitars (Lose), Bishop Allen (Lights Out), and Orenda Fink (Blue Dream) are all expected to see release this month. Click here to listen to Lose, here for Lights Out, and here for Blue Dream.
