Next week Sharon Van Etten is releasing a brand new EP, I Don’t Want to Let You Down. It’s the follow-up to 2014’s acclaimed full-length Are We There (it still bugs me that there’s no question mark at the end of that title, but oh well). Now the whole EP is streaming over at NPR via their All Songs Considered show.

NPR is streaming each track separately, followed by commentary from Van Etten on each song. For example, the title track was about someone she had an on-again/off-again relationship with for 10 years who she doesn’t talk to anymore and “I Always Fall Apart” was inspired by her time working as a publicist for Ba Da Bing Records, who then went on to release her debut album. Stream the EP here.

Also, if you haven’t read it already, then check out our article last year where Van Etten and The War on Drugs’ Adam Granduciel interviewed each other or read our 2014 Artist Survey interview with Van Etten to find out about her worst haircut, first concert, and which Golden Girls character she’s most like.
