1990s alternative rock legends Garbage are releasing a 20th anniversary reissue of their 1998 sophomore album, Version 2.0, on June 22 via Stunvolume/[PIAS]. Frontwoman Shirley Manson has agreed to take part in our Fan Interview and we invite the band's fans to submit their questions. You have until Monday, June 11 to email us your question ideas.

The questions can be about anything, from Version 2.0 and Manson's songwriting process to the band's touring routine and live shows to politics and pop culture. You can ask questions about growing up in Scotland or the 1990s alternative rock scene. They can be quirky questions or deep ones. If you've ever wanted to know something about Garbage, if you've ever wanted to ask Manson something, now's your chance.

Please submit questions to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Make sure to include Garbage in the subject of the email.

You can submit up to 10 questions, or just one. Please include your full name and the city and state (or country if outside the U.S.) you live in. It is essential that you include both your full name and full location. We will pick our favorite questions and email them to Manson and will then publish her answers once she sends them back to us.

Don't submit questions simply requesting things, such as asking the band to perform in your town or asking them to autograph something for you, they need to be real probing interview questions.

Version 2.0 has sold four million copies worldwide to date. The reissue includes a second disc of 10 B-sides. Garbage's last album, Strange Little Birds, came out in 2016. Check out all the band's upcoming tour dates below, followed by "Lick the Pavement," a B-side rarity from the reissue the band shared when the reissue was announced, as well as all the original music videos from Version 2.0.

Manson had this to say about the reissue in a previous press release: "Version 2:0 is in my opinion the quintessential garbage record. We are all very grateful to the millions of people who took it to their hearts at the time it was released and to those who continue to love on it still."

The band's Butch Vig had this to say: "Version 2.0 is the sound of a band growing up, evolving, and more than anything, gaining confidence. When we started recording, we made a conscious decision to not re-invent ourselves, but rather take everything we learned from our debut album and filter it through the new digital technology we were grappling with. Sonically, the album has moments of razor sharp clarity and soft beauty. Indeed, it's possibly our best album."

My question for Shirley. Back in 2000, Garbage performed at the M1 Festival in Brisbane, Australia. WHen you came on stage you made the best observational statement that you were the only female performer in the whole festival…a brilliant dig at this he management. Have you seen any changes in this regard in the intervening years?

If you could have chosen one more song from Version 2.0 to release as a single/video, which song would it have been?

The four of you are on a life raft in the middle of the ocean.  You only have provisons for yourselves plus one other.  Also on the raft are Severus Snape, Gollum, Jar Jar Binks, and the fat kid from Stand By Me.  You have to keep one, the others get thrown overboard.  Whom do you keep and why?  And you can’t say you’d throw everyone over (Shirley, I’m talkin’ to you).

Iceland is a country in the North Atlantic. It’s capital is Reykjavik.  Many bands host cruises.  Is there a chance of having a Garbage cruise?  (If so, get with Sixthman.net)
