Superchunk Are “Digging For Something” in New Video
"Majesty Shredding" Streets Tomorrow
Sep 13, 2010
Superchunk
Superchunk‘s first full-length in nine years, Majesty Shredding, streets tomorrow via Merge, so the video for opener “Digging For Something” debuts today. Well played, well played… The vid was lensed by former Daily Show scribe Scott Jacobson, and sees lead singer/guitarist Mac McCaughan recruiting new members of Superchunk. After the original members find out about the revamped gig, they seek to take back their roles. The Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle makes a cameo, playing a practical dentist who isn’t too impressed with Superchunk percussionist Jon Wurster’s tale about performing at Lollapalooza with Hole. Superchunk is touring now. See tour dates at Merge.
