The Black Lips to Play Egypt on International Peace Day
Also Playing Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Cyprus
As previously reported, Atlanta punk foursome The Black Lips have brazenly decided to brave the potlicial and civil unrest of the Middle East for a special tour behind their most recent LP Arabia Mountain. Looking to bridge a few gaps between cultures (particularly in light of recent offensive events), the tour will be highlighted by a show at Cairo's El Sawy Culturewheel celebrating International Peace Day on Sept. 21. Boasting a multicultural bill that includes Lebanese rockers Lazzy Lung and Egyptian punk outfit Faking It and 050 Band it will be the first show in Egypt to merge international and local acts in one event. You can view the band's fully updated itinerary below.
