After a protracted break from music since Sleater-Kinney's indefinite hiatus announced in 2006, Corin Tucker has at last revealed the details of her highly anticipated new album under the moniker The Corin Tucker Band. The record, titled 1,000 Years, is due October 5 on Kill Rock Stars, and also features Sara Lund (Unwound) and Seth Lorinczi (Golden Bears). Tucker's certainly kept busy in the interim since Sleater-Kinney's final show, focusing on raising her two children with filmmaker husband Lance Bangs, while also designing and running a website for her father's business. Yet anyone who's heard Sleater-Kinney's magnificent records or witnessed their staggering live shows can attest to the fact that her return to music is cause to rejoice. Tracklisting is below, along with a few West Coast tour dates. Expect more to be announced shortly.
