The Dears Release New Single, Announce New Album Title and Release Date

"Omega Dog" Single Available Now

Montreal, Canada mainstays The Dears have released their new single, “Omega Dog,” available as a digital download for 99 cents here at the website of the band’s label, Dangerbird Records. You can also stream the song there. On The Dears’ website the band promises that “Omega Dog” is “utterly kick ass, you won’t even believe what you are hearing.”

“Omega Dog” is taken from The Dears’ forthcoming fifth album, which the band has just announced will be titled Degeneration Street and will be out February 15, 2011.

The Dears have been performing Degeneration Street in full at various residencies in Montreal, Toronto, and Mexico City. Next week they will be performing it in Brooklyn:
