The Decemberists have announced a new 5-song EP and shared its first single. The Florasongs EP is due out on October 9 via Capitol. Below you can listen to the first single, “Why Would I.”

The EP is being released as a CD, on 10-inch vinyl, and digitally. The five tracks were recorded during the same sessions as their most recent album, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World, which was released back in January of this year. Check out the song below, followed by the EP’s tracklist and the band’s upcoming tour dates.
