The Drums
The Drums have donated the unreleased track “The New World” as a download with proceeds going to Japan disaster relief efforts. The end date for purchase-with-donation is September 30, the date when the Japanese Red Cross will close the account for donations. You can download the track from iTunes or the band’s official site. The song is an exclusive one-off and won’t appear on their second full-length, which the band are currently recording in NYC.
This is the full statement from The Drums:
“We are deeply saddened by what has happened, and we are so in awe of the strength and courage shown by the people of Japan. We wrote this song to bring a little more hope. Japan, we have loved you since the very first moment we set foot on your land. Thank you for all your love.” -The Drums
