Still no word yet on The Fiery Furnaces "Silent Record." However, today sees the release of another of their many experimental projects, Take Me Round Again. Here, siblings Eleanor and Matthew each separately re-recorded six songs off their eight studio album, I'm Going Away, jettisoning everything but the original lyrics. The results are only available digitally via iTunes and FINA.

Eleanor explains via a press release that the project seemed like a natural fit for the ever-evolving duo. "I've gotten into the habit of rewriting songs Matt has written, just as a way of practicing and singing at home. Originally, I had wanted to record a folk-style record called Eleanor Friedberger Sings the Songs of The Fiery Furnaces.  I thought it would make a nice greatest hits record, but reworking I'm Going Away before it even came out seemed a lot more exciting."
