The Fiery Furnaces Ready to Cover Themselves Up
The Duo Plans to Release Two Cover Albums of Their Own I'm Going Away

The Fiery Furnaces
The eccentric and (sometimes) quixotic brother and sister duo, The Fiery Furnaces, have announced plans to cover their own album, I’m Going Away, as two separate and autonomous solo projects.
As already reproduced on Pitchfork and MBV, the statement on the band’s official website spells out the details. It reads: “Only the words will remain the same. Though in Eleanor’s case, the singer remains the same. The song, never. Or mostly never.”
The project is set to be released in batches, with the first dose due in September. I’m Going Away was released on Thrill Jockey last week.
