The Flaming Lips Announce Embryonic Guests MGMT and Karen O

...And One Very Cool German Mathematician

Reigning kings of weird, The Flaming Lips, are slowly dribbling out more information about their forthcoming double-album Embryonic. As announced in an interview with Swiss website Die Klangschau and reported by Pitchfork, Leadman Wayne Coyne admits that album guests include a song with MGMT and, on several songs, Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Nice, but decidedly high on our list of expected collaborations.

But then there’s the other newly announced guest, a man that Coyne describes as, "… a weird mathematician guy from Germany doing some spoken word stuff on the record." Wow. You know you’re strange when a Flaming Lip calls you “weird.”

Embryonic is due out this fall.
