The Flaming Lips Announce More Shows
Set to Play Side by Side at Dates with Weezer
The Flaming Lips have added more tour dates, including some with Weezer at which they will be set up on the same stage at the same time, trading off songs and literally co-headlining (with Yeasayer opening). In a press release, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo commented "I asked Wayne if he has an extra bubble I could ride in" (remarking about Lips frontman Wayne Coyne's ambitious onstage antics). The Flaming Lips have been keeping busy by producing and releasing music in weird ways, including a life-size gummy skull and fetus, each with a USB containing limited release music inside, working with Neon Indian, releasing limited edition vinyl (all unique printed on colors handpicked by Coyne), among various other adventures. See their website below for more information.
Check out tour schedule and video of The Flaming Lips performing at the Hollywood Cemetery for a morning show with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes below.
