Star Wars
Disney+ is the much-anticipated new streaming series that launches on November 12. That same day The Mandalorian, probably its most high profile original TV show, also premieres. It is the first Star Wars live action TV show and centers on a new bounty hunter taking over the mantle of fan favorite Boba Fett. Now the first trailer has been shared. Pedro Pascal stars as the main character, a native of the planet Mandalore (also home to both Boba Fett and Jango Fett). Watch the trailer below.
The Mandalorian takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi (in which Boba Fett dies), but before the current Star Wars films. Jon Favreau wrote and executive produced the show. Dave Filoni is also an executive producer and directed the first episode. Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Deborah Chow, and Rick Famuyiwa have also directed episodes. Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are also executive producers. The cast also includes Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte.
