ATTN music-loving aspiring filmmakers: The National want YOU. Yes, you.

The National wrote the emotional ballad "Exile Vilify" for the Valve Corporation's video game Portal 2, and now, they want fans to come up with the song's video. The National recently partnered with Valve for a video-making contest, providing the chance for all those aspiring filmmaker fans out there to show 'em what they got.

The rules are simple: Interpret the song, shoot a video, then upload it to YouTube with the tag PORTAL2NATIONALEXILE before July 15. The grand prize?: An Eastwood guitar signed by the band and a bundle of Portal 2 merchandise.

All videos will be judged by The National members, Valve staffers, and, naturally, the general public. So grab that Canon/Sony Bloggie/iPhone/Super 8 and get those creative juices flowing.
