The National Unveil Expanded Edition Details
Second Disc Sports Unreleased Tunes and B-sides
This past spring, Brooklyn indie-rock kings The National issued their epic fifth LP, High Violet, which debuted in Billboard's top five and received major feature love from us. On November 22, the moody band will take a victory lap when 4AD releases High Violet's two-disc expanded edition.
The new release boasts the original tracklisting on the first disc and another disc with eight bonus tracks. The latter will include unreleased tunes (ex. - "You Were a Kindness"), B-sides, live renditions, and an alternate take of monster single, "Terrible Love." Drool over the full tracklist below.
On release day, the NYC group will also reissue a "Terrible Love" 7-inch via 4AD. "You Were a Kindness" will be the B-side. In related news, tonight in Madison, Wisconsin, the quintet will play a President Obama rally at the University of Wisconsin, as 4AD reports. Also, they're still touring the world. (via P4k.)
