My Bloody Valentine
They said it couldn’t be done—My Bloody Valentine releasing a new album any time this century. And well…actually they were almost right.
As announced earlier today, the band was planning on making good on their promise to release new material this evening. A few minutes ago, My Bloody Valentine declared open season on their new album, having just posted it to their website where they’ll be offering it for sale in a variety of formats.
Of course, anxious fans currently getting a “403 – Forbidden: Access is denied” message (Congrats guys, you broke the Internet!), but look at the bright side—we’ve moved one step closer to hearing/holding the Holy Grail. Head over to their website and join us in our quest to refresh.
…please Please PLEASE don’t let this be the meanest prank in the history of indie rock.
Update: Just in case you need a place to fuel your My Bloody Valentine rage.
Update 2: The My Bloody Valentine website is now up and running. The album is titled MBV and is available as a download, CD + download, or 180 gram vinyl + CD + download. The long awaited followup to 1991’s classic Loveless is finally here!
