The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Duran Duran, Richard Ashcroft Have a Late Night
For those of you who were too tired to make it through a number of opening monologues, celebrity chats, and your obligatory Top Ten List, yesterday featured a number of worthy performances on the late night circuit. Among those making a televised appearance were Brooklyn shoegazers The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, who on Late Night with David Letterman played the track "Heart in Your Heartbreak," off their upcoming sophomore release Belong. Elsewhere on The Tonight Show Duran Duran showed up playing the title track off their new album All You Need is Now. On The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon viewers were treated to a performance by the Verve's Richard Ashcroft playing the song "Are You Ready?" of his new studio work United Nation of Sound.
