The Tallest Man on Earth
The Tallest Man on Earth (aka Swedish musician Kristian Matsson) have announced some more North American tour dates in support of Dark Bird Is Home, which came out earlier this year on Dead Oceans. The dates include stops in the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and Texas and go down this August and September.
The band also recently taped a session for the New York radio station WFUV. It was recorded at the Electric Lady studios in lower Manhattan. The session includes the band’s first ever performance covering “If I Could Only Fly,” a song originally written by Blaze Foley but made famous by Merle Haggard. They also performed “Sagres,” from Dark Bird Is Home, and “Like the Wheel,” found on Sometimes the Blues Is Just a Passing Bird.
Check out the tour dates below, followed by the three videos of the WFUV session.
