The Weeknd Announces Title of New Album
Kiss Land Coming Soon
Mar 18, 2013 The Weeknd
As hard as it is to imagine given his breakthrough success, soul producer and crooner Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. The Weeknd, doesn’t have a proper full-length album listed to his name. His debut “record” Trilogy, released last year, is essentially a remastered compilation of his three free mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echos of Silence, which were themselves released in 2011. Releasing a limited press of Trilogy on vinyl on March 26, each one of the 500 copies signed and hand-numbered with artwork designed by his compatriots XO, Tesfaye has decided to share the title of his first official LP: Kiss Land. Already known for making great tunes that take listeners between the bedsheets, the name seems more than appropriate. Kiss Land will undoubtedly see release sometime before the year is out. Stay tuned for more details of the record as they become available.
