Tom Petty doesn't have anything in the works with the Heartbreakers this year so far but he's been plenty busy. That's because he'll be releasing a second album with his old band Mudcrutch and taking them on their first-ever national tour. The new album, which is simply titled 2, was produced by Tom Petty, guitarist Mike Campbell and Ryan Ulyate. It's available now for pre-order at MudcrutchMusic.com and purchasers will receive downloads of three tracks, including the first single "Trailer," in advance of the release date ("Trailer" will also be part of a Record Store Day vinyl release).

Mudcrutch's national tour starts May 26 in Denver, CO. Tickets for all headline shows go on-sale to the general public Friday, April 1st at 10am local venue time. Every ticket purchased online for the headline tour includes a CD copy of the new album, 2. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Highway Companion Club Members will have the first access to tickets and premium ticket packages for Mudcrutch headline shows. The special club presales will begin Wednesday March 30 and you can go here to sign up. You can find the tracklist and tour dates below.
