Vampire Weekend released a new album, Father of the Bride, back in May via Columbia/Spring Snow. Last night they stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform the album’s “Harmony Hall.” They were accompanied by a kids choir and started with a cover of Vince Guaraldi’s “Christmas Time Is Here” from the classic Peanuts TV special A Charlie Brown Christmas. Watch the performance below.

Father of the Bride was our Album of the Week, it debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart with the largest first week sales for any rock album in 2019, and you can stream it here. It was also nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys.

Previously Vampire Weekend shared two songs from Father of the Bride: “Harmony Hall” (which was #2 on our Songs of the Week list) and “2021,” as well as a video for “Harmony Hall.” Then they shared two more songs: “Sunflower” (which features Steve Lacy of The Internet and was one of our Songs of the Week) and “Big Blue.” Then they shared a video for “Sunflower” directed by actor Jonah Hill and featuring comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld and rapper/visual artist Fab 5 Freddy. Then they shared another two songs: “This Life” and “Unbearably White.” “This Life,” which features backing vocals from Danielle Haim of HAIM, was also one of our Songs of the Week. Album track “We Belong Together,” a duet with Haim, also made our Songs of the Week list. Then they shared a video for “This Life.”

Then the band stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform two tracks from the album: “This Life” on the broadcast show and “Jerusalem, New York, Berlin” as a web-exclusive. For the former they were aided by all three members of HAIM and the latter performance featured Danielle Haim (who is featured prominently on several tracks on the album), but not her sisters.

After that Vampire Weekend appeared Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform “Sunflower.”

Father of the Bride is the band’s fourth album. The band’s last album was 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City. Since then founding member/producer Rostam Batmanglij left the band as a full-time member.
