Vampire Weekend Prep New Single

There's more Vampire Weekend news coming down the pipeline today. Contra, the band's sophomore LP, isn't out until January 12th, but we've already peeped its leadoff cut, "Horchata." Now MBV reports and Vampire Weekend's publicist corroborates, that the eclectic indie-poppers have another new song waiting in the wings.

XL will release the single digitally on November 17th and on 7" on December 15th. That's the confetti-crazy artwork above.

The single's A-side is the Contra track "Cousins," and the B-side is "California English Pt. 2." If you recall, the Contra tracklist includes a cut dubbed "California English." I'd say, "let's hope the sequel lives up to the original," but I haven't heard the first.

As previously reported, the foursome will tour California in November. (By the way, those dates are largely sold out except for the Pioneertown gig.)
