Vampire Weekend To Release New Album This Spring

Vampire Weekend have confirmed that they will release their much-anticipated third album sometime this spring. In an interview with Q Magazine, frontman Ezra Koenig called their latest effort “darker” and “organic” and that it “really does feel like the third chapter in a book,” adding that “We created some characters on the first record, some of which are real people, some of which are ourselves, so it’s not so hard to keep following them and see what their concerns are now and how their lives have changed.”
Recorded in both New York City and Los Angeles, the as-of-yet-untitled LP was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid and the band’s own Rostam Batmanglij. Back in October the band debuted a brand new song on Jimmy Kimmel Live! called “Unbelievers,” which you can watch below.
