Viva Voce Announce New Tour Dates
The Band to Bring Roses to Your City This May and June
Apr 15, 2009 Viva Voce
After taking a year off from touring, Viva Voce’s Kevin and Anita Robinson wrote and record the band’s new album, Rose City, in one month and will be back on the road in its support shortly. According to the Barsuk Records press release, the duo hand-built their backyard home studio and went on to record the album there with a spontaneous approach.
With such a short working schedule, the band consciously avoided careful deliberation of every nook and cranny, and the resulting album commands that sense of urgency. Rose City is due out May 26th and the band is now a four-piece that also includes Evan Railton and Corrina Repp.
Their U.S. tour is set to begin in May and will conclude in their hometown of Portland, Oregon at the end of June. Although, in light of the extensive touring schedule they maintained after their last release, it seems as though the band feels right at home on the road.
