Watch A Promo Clip for Sufjan Stevens’ Ballet “Year of the Rabbit”

Next month on Oct. 5 the Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater in New York City will premiere "Year of the Rabbit" a ballet set to music by Sufjan Stevens and choreographed by Justin Peck. Performed by dancers from the New York City Ballet the staged recital will be preluded by two sold out preview events this Sept. 23 and 24 at the Guggenheim Museum in New York where excerpts of the work will be shown with Stevens and Peck on hand to discuss their collaboration. The event will be streamed live online here.

Down below you can watch a promotional short film for the ballet. Directed by Yoonha Park and starring dancers Janie Taylor and Craig Hall, the piece is set to "The Palm Sunday Tornado Hits Crystal Lake" from The Avalanche. (via Pitchfork)
