Watch Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in the First Trailer for the New “Tomb Raider” Movie
Due Out March 18, 2018 via Warner Bros.
The 1990s video game Tomb Raider was already adapted into two fairly forgettable films in 2001 and 2003, notable mainly for the performances of Angelina Jolie as adventurer/archeologist Lara Croft. Now it's been rebooted with Danish actress Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, The Danish Girl) as Croft. The film isn't due out until March 18, 2018 via Warner Bros., but now the first trailer has been shared. Watch it below.
Norwegian director Roar Uthaug (The Wave) is behind the camera for his first Hollywood film. The script is by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and the cast also includes Walton Goggins (Justified, The Hateful Eight), Daniel Wu (Into the Badlands, Geostorm), Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), Kristin Scott Thomas (Four Weddings and a Funeral, The English Patient), and Dominic West (The Wire, The Affair).
