Still just scratching the surface of the extensive set of performances they have scheduled for the rest of spring and the coming summer, Arcade Fire found themselves in America’s midwest over the weekend. While in Kansas City, Missouri the Montreal collective performed a special cover of Kansas’ “Dust in the Wind,” forcing frontman Win Bulter to joke “Guys, that was really beautiful, but that’s a Kansas song and we’re in fuckin’ Missouri. That’s gonna kill when we play Lawrence, though.” Moving on to St. Louis the band payed tribute to the city’s resident musical hero and rock and roll legend Chuck Berry by closing out their performances with a cover of “Roll Over Beethoven.” Scroll down below to watch fan-captured footage of both songs.
