Watch: Arcade Fire Perform New Live Arrangements of Two Songs
Band Plays Live Session At Chicago Radio Station
Arcade Fire recently performed at the studio of Chicago radio station WBEZ and recorded live new versions of "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" and "We Used to Wait" from their acclaimed album The Suburbs. In these performances, the instrumentals are much more raw and less produced than on the album and although the tone is still somber, the emotion obvious in Arcade Fire's music is portrayed in a different light. The songs feel more organic and the new arrangement allows for appreciation of the more delicate parts of these songs that may not be so obvious in the studio version.
