Back in June Beck released a brand new song, “Wow,” and he plans to release an as yet to be titled new album on October 21. “Wow” was announced via a bunch of interesting Instagram videos by different visual artists. Now Beck has shared a colorful and surreal video for “Wow.” Beck co-directed the video with Grady Hall and it also features contributions from visual artists Sam Cannon, Randy Cano, Andy Gregg, David McLeod, John McLaughlin, Jess Rona, and Steve Smith. The “Wow” clip features cowboys, horses, flowers with eyeballs, cheerleaders, and Beck dancing by the side of the road. Beck’s kids Cosimo and Tuesday Hansen also show up dancing. Watch it below, followed by a behind-the-scenes clip.

“Wow” followed “Dreams,” a standalone single that was released last year, and “Wow” matches that track’s poppy vibe, sounding more like something from his great 1999 album Midnight Vultures rather than his last album, 2014’s more subdued Morning Phase, which won the Grammy for Album of the Year.
