Watch Beirut Discover a Floating Island of Trash in “Gibraltar” Video
No No No Due Out September 11 via 4AD
Aug 18, 2015
Beirut
Beirut (aka Zach Condon and his band) recently announced their fourth album, No No No, and shared the album’s title track, as well as its video. They also performed “No No No” on Late Night with Seth Meyers last week. Now we have the video for “Gibraltar.” Like the “No No No” clip, this one was directed by Brother Willis, but the “Gibralatar” video is more serious and somber in tone until you realize the twist. Condon and band members Paul Collins and Nick Petree travel along a beach, but instead of finding the European Rock of Gibraltar they come across an island of trash floating out in the Pacific Ocean.
No No No is due out September 11 on 4AD (their first for the label). Check out the video and their upcoming tour dates below. Also be sure to pick up Under the Radar’s current print issue to read our interview with Beirut about No No No.
