Watch: Blood Orange – “Chamakay (Feat. Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek)”
New Album Cupid Deluxe On the Way
Check out "Chamakay," a new track from Blood Orange featuring vocals from Charilift’s Caroline Polachek. The accompanying video is documentary of sorts as it follows frontman Dev Hynes’ quest to find unmet family members from Georgetown, Guyana.
“I decided to visit Georgetown, Guyana for the first time the town where my mother is from,” says Hynes via press release. “She, herself has not been back for 30 years, 3 years before I was born. I tracked down family members, including my 92 year old grandfather, who I had never met before. In this video you will see our first ever meeting.”
