Watch: Blur and Jimmy Fallon Perform “Tender” Backstage at “The Tonight Show”
The Magic Whip Out Now
Blur's been in the news a lot lately. It's no surprise, considering their first album in 12 years, The Magic Whip, came out last week. Earlier today we posted an album making of documentary titled The Magic Whip: Made In Hong Kong, and now the Internet has been gifted a great video of Blur and Jimmy Fallon playing the band's classic single "Tender" backstage at The Tonight Show.
Blur performed Magic Whip single "Ong Ong" on The Tonight Show last Thursday. That same day in the green room they did a "Backstage Acoustic" session of "Tender," taken from their 1999 album 13. All of Blur, plus their backing singers, are crammed into the small room. Fallon crowds on the couch with frontman Damon Albarn and bassist Alex James, the talk show host holding his own on guitar and vocals. "Oh gosh, that was so fun," says Fallon at the end after he falls off the couch.
